Pat Illig

School: Wofford
Position: G
Bio: Three-year starter awarded all-Conference honors the past two seasons and named All-American as a senior.
Positive: Wide-bodied blocker who flashes quickness and explosiveness in his game. Strong at the point of attack and gets his hands into defenders then turns them from the action. Does an adequate job bending his knees, quick if asked to pull across the line of scrimmage, and explosive at the point of attack. Has a wide build that defenders have difficulty getting around.
Negative: Blocks with a narrow base, which affects his balance. Not a dominant run blocker and more of a position lineman who seals defenders from the action. Really not light on his feet.
Analysis: Illig has been productive on the small school level and possesses the body type to play in the NFL but must improve his fundamentals and run blocking strength.
