Isaiah Thompson

School: Houston
Position: G
Bio: All-Conference selection as a senior after moving from the defensive side of the ball. Former starting nose tackle during a sophomore and junior seasons.
Positive: Well-built, small area blocker that shows terrific strength at the point of attack. Quickly gets into blocks, moves well on his feet and keeps his head on a swivel. Plays with good lean, works to bends his knees and sets with a wide base. Strong, anchors in pass protection and moves defenders off the line with good hand punch.
Negative: Must improve his balance, flexibility and over extends into blocks on occasion. Marginal footwork in space.
Analysis: After lining up on the defensive line early in his college career, Thompson showed flashes of ability at his new position last year. He's still rough around the edges yet offers size, growth potential and is a prospect with possibilities in several blocking schemes.
