Dominic Alford

School: Minnesota
Position: G
Bio: Three-year starter used at both left and right tackle. Struggled with an injury as a senior and was also suspended for a game.
Positive: Wide-bodied college tackle who projects as a guard in the NFL. Patient in pass protection, fights hard throughout the action, and uses his hands well. Slows defenders at the point of attack, stays square, and seals opponents from the action. Blocks with good lean and rarely gives up an inch of movement. Easily steers defenders from their angle of attack once he gets his hands on them.
Negative: Displays solid footwork yet lacks great lateral blocking range off the edge. Struggles to adjust.
Analysis: Alford has been a productive college lineman whose game was on the upswing prior to his senior season. He's fallen down draft boards yet is a legitimate prospect who could make it as an inexpensive utility lineman if he gets his game back on track.
