David Scott

School: East Carolina
Position: G
Bio: Three-year starter used at both right tackle and guard.
Positive: Large, strong offensive lineman who is best in a small area. Stays square, keeps his feet moving, and controls defenders once engaged at the point of attack. Immediately gets his hands up, anchors in pass protection, and works hard. Makes good use of angles and shows strength as a run blocker.
Negative: Heavy footed, lumbering lineman who E(TM)s ineffective in motion. Not a natural knee bender.
Analysis: Scott possesses terrific size/speed numbers yet does not play to that athleticism on the field. He is a stiff lineman only effective in confined quarters, but he has a chance to be a backup based on the ability to line up at numerous line positions.
