Andrew Phillips

School: Stanford
Position: G
Bio: Three-year starter used at both guard spots on the offensive line.
Positive: Adequately sized college blocker with limited athleticism. Sets with a wide base, works to bend his knees, and strong at the point. Immediately gets his hands up, keeps his feet moving, and shows ability as a position blocker. Plays with a nasty attitude and works hard until the whistle blows. Keeps his head on a swivel and helps out teammates.
Negative: Lacks footwork, struggles to adjust, and can be exploited by speed rushers. Must improve his playing balance. Not effective blocking in motion.
Analysis: Phillips is a small-area lineman who is best as a run blocker. He does not have much upside, but his size and versatility could make him an attractive utility backup.
