Shane Bannon

School: Yale
Position: FB
Bio: Two year starter that lined up at fullback and tight end. Totaled 13/122 catching the ball as a senior. Carried the ball twice as a junior.
Positive: Tough, grind it out lead blocker with a one dimensional game. Displays good movement skills, quick out to the second level and squares into linebackers, removing them from the action. Blocks with an aggressive attitude, strong and easily controls defenders once engaged at the point of attack. Can hit a moving target, constantly stays square and moves well in the open field. Works hard to finish blocks.
Negative: Lacks top agility must do a better job bending his knees. Does not show natural pass catching hands. Minimally effective as an offensive threat.
Analysis: Bannon is a one dimensional blocker yet very effective in that role. He offers ability as a lead blocking fullback or can be used as a blocking tight end in short yardage situations. Bannon could get looks late in the draft and make a roster as a backup fullback or third tight end.
