Anthony Sherman

School: Connecticut
Position: FB
Bio: Three-year starter at fullback that posted receiving numbers of 11/127/1 as a senior, while also carrying the ball four times. Posted a career-best 26 receptions for 270 receiving yards as a sophomore.
Positive: Athletic lead blocker that does the little things well. Displays terrific blocking vision, stays with assignments, and attacks opponents. Picks up stunts or twists, squares into defenders and takes the from the action. Displays the ability to get out to the second level and block in motion. Accelerates into blocks and removes opponents from the action. Displays a burst of speed in his game. Solid receiver out of the backfield, extends his hands, and looks the ball in.
Negative: Marginal threat carrying the ball. Not a dominant lead blocker on the inside.
Analysis: Sherman is an athletic lead blocker who has the potential to grow into a starter at the next level once he completes his game. Will have an opportunity to play as a rookie on passing downs, where he will be used as both blocker and receiver.
