Zach Clayton

School: Auburn
Position: DT
Bio: Champion college discus thrower that moved into the starting lineup as a senior and posted career numbers of 28/8/1.
Positive: Hard-working, slug it out lineman with a developing game. Fires off the snap with a good first step, strong at the point and easily holds his ground against double team blocks. Keeps his feet moving on contact, slides off blocks laterally and works hard to make plays on the ball carrier. Fluid changing direction, nicely redirects to the action and wraps up tackling.
Negative: Does get a bit tall and plays upright at times. Occupies blockers and not a play making defender. Does not always play on balance.
Analysis: After breaking into the starting lineup as a senior Clayton showed enough skill and an ability to get consideration in the late rounds of this year's draft for a team looking to develop him as an interior lineman in a four man front.
