Positive: Hardworking interior lineman with limited upside. Quick off the snap, plays with good pad level, and is tough to move off the point. Immediately gets his hands up and effectively uses them to protect himself. Has some width to his frame and occupies blockers upfront.
Negative: More of a straight-line defender and doesn't change directions well. Does a better job of occupying blockers rather than making plays.
Analysis: Whitlock lacks the sheer physical skills to be a star at the next level. His approach the game and the ability to use all his assets to their maximum should help him secure a spot on an NFL roster.
