Bio: All-Conference selection as a senior after recording 73 tackles and breaking up 10 passes. Also blocked a field goal last year. Academically ineligible in 2009. Started the first two games in 2008 before suffering a hairline fracture in his neck.
Positive: Athletic prospect with solid size and defensive back skills. Quick flipping his hips off the line, explosive and shows the ability to stay downfield with opponents. Possesses a burst to the ball, plays with aggressiveness, and works hard to defend the throw. Quick up the field and voluntarily defends the run. Shows force on the blitz.
Negative: Marginal instincts and tends to lose a sense of positioning against opponents. Marginal footwork in reverse.
Analysis: After almost two full seasons on the sidelines, Wright returned in 2010 and performed well. He possesses the size and skill to play at the next level but will need time to complete his game before he'll be NFL ready.
