Niles Brinkley

School: Wisconsin
Position: CB
Bio: Moved into the starting lineup on a full-time basis as a senior, recording 40 tackles and breaking up nine passes. Part-time starter the prior two seasons, totaling 38/2/6 as a junior and 40/4/13 as a sophomore.
Positive: Explosive cornerback who plays with an aggressive attitude. Quick flipping his hips off the line, displays a burst to the action out of his plant, and quickly closes to the action. Comes up the field to defend running plays or screens and wraps up when tackling. Is a solid athlete.
Negative: Short, struggles to get positioning against tall receivers, and loses out in battles. Slow locating the ball in the air.
Analysis: Brinkley has been a solid college cornerback the past three seasons and projects as a dime back in a zone system where he can face the action.
