Justin Rogers

School: Richmond
Position: CB
Bio: Four-year starter awarded all-American and all-Conference honors since his freshman season. Defensive totals last season included 54/2/5 when he also averaged 20 yards on 23 kick returns and 12.4 yards on 15 punt returns. Previously named CAA Special Teams Player of the Year as a freshman.
Positive: Explosive athlete that impacts games in a variety of ways. Quick flipping his hips at cornerback, displays a nice break to the throw and fights hard to defend the pass. Terrific break to the throw and constantly getting a hand in to deflect passes. Displays solid footwork in every direction, has a burst of speed, and flashes on the scene. Occasionally lined up in the backfield and elusive carrying the ball. Consistently breaks games open with large returns.
Negative: Solid ball skills yet needs work at the cornerback position. Does not have great hands.
Analysis: Rogers is an incredibly athletic prospect who comes with a lot of upside. He has the ability to immediately impact a team at the next level as a return specialist while also being used in dime packages.
