Jalil Brown

School: Colorado
Position: CB
Bio: Two-year starter who also saw extensive action with the first team as a sophomore. Totals last season included 46/3/5 after he had career-best numbers of 66/2/15 as a junior.
Positive: Nice-sized cornerback with the athletics skills for the next level. Works to jam opponents at the line of scrimmage, is quick flipping his hips in transition, and fights hard to defend passes. Displays the ability to run downfield with opponents, reads receivers' eyes, and gets his head back around to locate the pass in the air. Has good hands.
Negative: Very quick out of his backpedal. Consistently loses positioning against opponents. Gets out-muscled or out-positioned by lesser receivers.
Analysis: After a terrific junior season, Brown watched his game take a step back last year. He possesses the measurables to start at the next level but must learn to do the little things consistently to have a productive career in the NFL.
