Positive: Hard-hitting cornerback who fights hard to defend passes. Effective backed off the line of scrimmage, shows a burst out of his plant, and quickly closes to the action. Wraps up tackling and gives effort. Fluid turning his hips in transition.
Negative: Slow pedaling in reverse. Late recognizing routes in zone coverage.
Analysis: Ross has shown terrific versatility the past three seasons and was a productive player on the small school level. He possesses the size and skills to get consideration as a dime back if he proves his worth on special teams.
