Scott Long

School: Louisville
Position: WR
Bio: Led the team in receiving as a senior totaling 53/727/2. Part-time starter in 2007 and finished the year with 27 receptions for 358 yards. Missed significant action with a knee injury as a junior in
Positive: Well-sized pass catcher who rebounded with a good season after his knee injury of 2008. Plays with a good degree of quickness, works back to the quarterback to make himself an available target, and consistently extends to make the reception away from his frame. Uses his frame to shield away opponents, displays strong hands and snatches the ball from the air. Comes away with the difficult catch on third down.
Negative: Lacks deep speed and mostly effective running underneath routes. Must improve his route running.
Analysis: Long put together a fine season and is highly considered in the scouting community. He's a large target with prototypical possession receiver size for the next level and comes with a nice degree of upside potential.
