Phillip Kirkland

School: Bethune Cookman
Position: WR
Bio: Played in five games as a senior before injuring his knee and finished the year with 7/45. He led the team as a senior posting 25/428/2 when he averaged 17.1 yards per reception.
Positive: Size/speed prospect who showed a degree of upside before his injury. Nicely adjusts to the errant throw, reaching back to grab the ball with his hands. Displays good eye/hand coordination and shows the ability to take a big hit and then hold onto the throw.
Negative: Never an ultra-productive receiver prior to his knee injury.
Analysis: Kirkland is an athletic prospect who's shown flashes of football ability on the field yet must now rehab from the injury, which sideline for most of last season. If he checks out medically, he's worth bringing into a camp for a look this summer.
