Michael Hicks

School: Tennessee-Martin
Position: WR
Bio: Mississippi transfer who totaled just 21/251 as a senior after missing six games with assorted injuries. Junior totals included 66/899 /12.
Positive: Fluid receiver with excellent size and reliable hands. Quickly releases off the line, displays good eye/hand coordination and makes the difficult catch downfield with defenders draped on him. Goes up in a crowd, fights for the ball and extends to make the reception away from his frame. Nicely adjusts to the errant throw and shows a better than average playing speed.
Negative: Unable to improve from a good junior campaign last season because of injuries. More of a one speed receiver who lacks a burst and downfield speed. Turned in just one productive season in college.
Analysis: Hicks was on the watch list of many scouts around the nation prior to last season. Injuries slowed him down all year yet he previously displayed enough skill to get looks in camp this summer as a fifth receiver on the NFL level.
