Derek Hardman

School: Eastern Kentucky
Position: T
Bio: Four-year starter awarded All-Conference honors as a senior. Spent his first two years at right tackle before moving to left side as a junior.
Positive: Well-built college lineman best in confined quarters. Makes good use of blocking angles, quickly gets his hands into defenders and controls them at the point of attack. Bends his knees, plays with leverage, and effectively fights with his hands. Quick in his head recognizing stunts or blitzes and works until the whistle blows.
Negative: Not light on his feet or effective in motion. Lacks top footwork sliding out to protect the edge. Struggles to adjust and pick up the blitz.
Analysis: Hardman is well thought of in scouting circles yet a lineman who plays with limited athleticism on the field. He's a potential right tackle if he improves his strength and will also get consideration at guard.
