Casey Knips

School: South Dakota State
Position: T
Bio: Two-year starter awarded All-Conference honors as a senior.
Positive: King-sized offensive tackle effective in a small area. Quickly gets his hands into opponents, strong at the point, and anchors in pass protection. Stays square, keeps his feet moving and turns defenders off the ball and fights hard throughout the action working blocks.
Negative: Struggles to adjust and has difficulty handling quick opponents. Not a natural knee bender, he gets tall in his stance and is more of an arm wrestler.
Analysis: Knips is an offensive lineman who looks the part on the field yet is a limited athlete with marginal upside. He must improve almost every facet of his game yet his size is enticing and will get him an invitation to camp this summer.
