Deji Karim

School: Southern Illinois
Position: RB
Bio: Junior college transfer who finished with a career best 240/1693/16 on the ground while adding 17/212/1 as a pass catcher. He also averaged 30.9 yards on 14 kick returns, bringing one back for a touchdown. Awarded All-Conference in all-American honors as a senior.
Positive: Small, elusive runner who plays with a good degree of quickness and speed. Will pick and choose his way on the inside, gets through the small creases of the defense and follows blocks everywhere on the field. Patient, displays good running vision and shows the speed and agility necessary to beat defenders around the corner, and gives effort blocking.
Negative: Lacks strength in his running and rarely breaks tackles or picks up yardage off initial contact. Does not possess the size to be a feature runner.
Analysis: Karim watched his game take off last season after sitting on the sidelines in 2008. He's a productive ball handler with enough ability to find a home at the next level as a situational skill player.
