Daniel Porter

School: Louisiana Tech
Position: RB
Bio: Two-year starter awarded All-Conference honors as a senior. Led the team in rushing the past two seasons, posting 211/1132/11 as a senior after 1164 yards and nine touchdowns the prior year.
Positive: Small, elusive ball-carrier who creates his own yardage. Sets defenders up, makes them miss, and displays outstanding vision and running instincts. Quick footed, possesses the agility to turn the corner, and plays faster than his forty time. Patient, waits for blocks to develop and immediately gets through the running lanes. Plays with a good degree of quickness. Runs hard on the inside and gives effort.
Negative: Small, not a strong back and stopped dead in his tracks by the first defender.
Analysis: Porter offers potential at the next level as a situational runner or third-down back. Modestly productive catching the ball out of the backfield, he must improve the skill to make the final roster.
