Darius Dewberry

School: Georgia
Position: OLB
Bio: Part-time starter his senior and sophomore seasons. Posted 24 tackles as a senior and 24 as a sophomore in 2007.
Positive: Athletic linebacker who displays flashes on the field yet has never lived up to expectations. Displays terrific movement skills, breaks down well, and fast up the field or out to the flanks. Easily cuts off the corners from running backs, quickly changes direction, and works his hands to protect himself. Gets depth on pass drops, shows strength at the point of attack, and makes a lot of athletic plays on the field.
Negative: Marginally instinctive and very late to react. Constantly a half step late arriving on the scene.
Analysis: Dewberry possesses the size/speed numbers to play at the next level, yet throughout his college career he never displayed himself to be a playmaker. Needs a lot of work on his game, yet he offers an upside and should be brought into camp this summer.
