Sean Lee

School: Penn State
Position: ILB
Bio: Three-year starter awarded All-Conference honors as a senior after totals of a 86/11/2. Sat on the sidelines in 2008 after tearing an ACL during spring football. Awarded All-Conference honors and named to several All-American teams as a true junior in 2007, after posting a career best 138 tackles. Broke into the starting lineup as a sophomore in 2006, then posted and posted 90 tackles.
Positive: Productive and versatile linebacker who's displayed a lot of ability on the field. Possesses tremendous instincts, diagnoses the action and reads plays before they unfold. Very aggressive, drives his shoulders into ball-carriers and wraps up tackling. Resilient and stays with the action. Shows a closing burst of speed, fluid moving sideline to sideline and plays with a large degree of athleticism.
Negative: Does not get depth on drops and shows limited skills in coverage. Struggled returning from the knee injury that put him on the sidelines in 2008.
Analysis: Prior to the 2008 season Lee looked as though he was set to be the next top linebacker prospect to come from the Penn State program. He played well at times last season yet never seemed to be fully healthy. Lee offers a good amount of upside if he ever gets his game back to pre-2008 levels.
