Phillip Dillard

School: Nebraska
Position: ILB
Bio: All-Conference selection as a senior after posting career numbers of 76/11/3. Junior totals included 38 tackles when he started five games, struggling with injuries the entire year.
Positive: Tough, run-defending two down linebacker who gives effort until the whistle blows. Resilient, shows good head for the ball in run defense and rarely off his feet. Flows well to the action laterally, effectively uses his hands to protect himself and goes hard. Remains disciplined with assignments and shows a lot of quickness in the box.
Negative: Struggles moving in reverse and displays minimal skills in coverage. Does a lot of face guarding and gets beaten by tight ends.
Analysis: Dillard improved his game significantly last year as a senior and is a two-down linebacker best on the inside defending the run.
