Jacob Lewko

School: Penn
Position: ILB
Bio: Two-year starter awarded All-Conference honors since his junior season. Ivy League Player of the Year in 2009 after totals of 76/8/2. Junior numbers included a team-leading 61 tackles.
Positive: Effective run defending linebacker best in the box. Breaks down well, uses his hands to protect himself and strong at the point of attack. Holds his ground against blocks, forceful up the field, and plays with a nasty attitude. Drives his shoulders into ball-carriers and wraps up. Instinctive and remains disciplined with assignments.
Negative: His overall game lacks quickness, speed to the flanks and the ability to cut off the corners. Will struggle in coverage at the next level.
Analysis: Lewko is a hard-working linebacker with the mentality to make it in the NFL. He offers possibilities as a backup for a number of defensive schemes and has a special teams mentality.
