Alex Parsons

School: USC
Position: G
Bio: Former defensive tackle who started the past two seasons at offensive guard.
Positive: Nice-sized prospect who plays with a good degree of athleticism. Blocks with good lean, displays quickness in his overall game, and is effective in motion. Fluid if asked to pull across the line of scrimmage, gets in the secondary, nicely redirects to linebackers. Keeps his head on a swivel, picks up stunts or blitzes, and anchors at the point. Works well with teammates. Jolts opponents with good hand punch.
Negative: Must improve his blocking balance. Average strength and not a dominant drive blocker.
Analysis: Parsons is one of the more underrated offensive line prospects in this draft and a player with a good degree of upside potential. He's assimilated into his new position well, and he will only get better in the coming years as he sees more playing action.
