Richie Brockel

School: Boise State
Position: FB
Bio: Part-time starter the past two seasons, lining up at both tight end and fullback. Senior totals included pass-catching numbers of 8/75/2. Injured his foot and missed the last six games of the year. Junior pass catching totals included 12/104/4.
Positive: Hard-working college player with ability as a traditional fullback. Quickly gets out of his stance, accelerates into blocks ,and turns defenders from the action. Plays with an aggressive attitude, squares into opponents and works to finish blocks. Solid receiver out of the backfield who adjusts, extends his hands, and looks the pass in.
Negative: Shows marginal speed in his game. Not effective blocking in space or on the second level.
Analysis: Brockel is a traditional lead blocker and one-dimensional player who offers limited ability as an offensive threat. He could be a good addition for a power running offense.

Matt Clapp

School: Oklahoma
Position: FB
Bio: Oklahoma's starting lead blocker the past two seasons. Combined rushing numbers at Oklahoma the past four years included 8/22 with 9/92/3 as a pass catcher.
Positive: Underrated, athletic lead blocker rarely used on the college level. Displays terrific blocking vision, plays with a nasty attitude, and gets out front of ball-carriers then squares into defenders. Works hard, accelerates into blocks, and jolts defenders at the point of attack. Stays with assignments, blocks down well on defenders, and opens up the running lanes. Displays good awareness.
Negative: Really best in a straight line and does not display the agility to turn the corner. Rarely asked to handle the ball.
Analysis: Clapp possesses terrific size/speed numbers and was effective in his role as a blocker at Oklahoma. He offers skills as a ball-carrier as well as a pass catcher and could thrive at the next level as a number-two fullback.

Height: 5-11

John Conner

School: Kentucky
Position: FB
Bio: Two-year starter who totaled 30/156/2 as a senior after 15/47 prior year.
Positive: Strong, aggressive lead blocker who opens holes for the running game. Displays terrific vision, squares into defenders, and turns them from the action. Accelerates into blocks and drives through opponents, attacking assignments. Adequate pass catcher out of the backfield who adjusts to the errant throw and looks the ball into his hands.
Negative: Rumbles about the field and displays minimal quickness in his game. Not a fullback who can turn the corner and is most effective between tackle.
Analysis: Connor is a hard-working lead blocker who does the little things well. He's a throwback type of player yet a bit one-dimensional. As a result, Connor will not be selected until the late part of the draft, but he will be an asset for some team at the next level.

Jack Corcoran

School: Rutgers
Position: FB
Bio: Used in the starting lineup the past three seasons. Did not register a carry last season but totaled 5/52/1 as a pass catcher. Carried the ball just three times as a junior.
Positive: Athletic lead blocking prospect with solid size/speed numbers. Breaks down well, shows good blocking vision and attacks assignments. Stays square and strong at the point of attack. Solid receiver out of the backfield.
Negative: Displays marginal quickness and speed to his game. Slow out of his stance and really does not drive through blocks.
Analysis: Corcoran possesses the size, speed, and pass-catching skills to get consideration in a West Coast system. He has an incomplete game and must really start to play to his computer numbers to make a roster at the next level.

Height: 5-10
Weight: 230
40: 4.62
Year: 4Sr

Codera Eason

School: Mississippi
Position: FB
Bio: Saw significant action the past three seasons, including starting 12 games as a junior in Mississippi's rotational system. Senior totals included 36/133/1 on the ground. Career rushing totals of 140/647/3 with 10/82/2 as a pass catcher came during his junior season.
Positive: Nice-sized skill player who can be used in a variety of roles. Runs with an aggressive attitude, puts his shoulders into defenders and falls forward when tackled. Displays a burst of straight-line speed, runs low to the ground and underneath his pads. Keeps his feet moving on contact. Solid receiver out of the backfield.
Negative: Not an elusive ball-carrier who creates yardage. Loses a lot of momentum when he must immediately alter his angle of attack.
Analysis: Eason has the build of a fullback though he was asked to carry the ball at Mississippi. Needs to add a few more pounds to his frame and prove his worth as a lead blocker to have a home at the next level.

Height: 5-11.5
Weight: 225
40: 4.65
Year: 4Sr

Anthony Harding

School: Fresno State
Position: FB
Bio: Senior totals included 15/32 on the ground. Rushed for 822 yards and six scores as a junior, after 449 yards and five touchdowns the prior year.
Positive: Well built ball-carrier who struggled seeing playing time with Fresno State last season. Quickly gets out of his stance, shows strength running the ball and the ability to pick up the tough yardage. Patient carrying the ball, finds the running lanes, and possesses a burst of speed through the hole. Displays good blocking vision and extends his hands into defenders, knocking them from their angle of attack.
Negative: Drops too many catchable throws as a receiver out of the backfield. Really best between the tackles.
Analysis: Harding is a solid ball-carrier with the size and speed to play the next level. The depth and quality at the running back position at Fresno State hampered his ability to see playing time last season, and as a result he's likely to fall out of the draft. If given a chance at the next level, Harding could turn into one of April's better bargains.

Cory Jackson

School: Maryland
Position: FB
Bio: Part-time starter since his freshman season. Career rushing totals at Maryland include 17/46/2 the past four seasons. Also added 29/254 as a pass catcher out of the backfield.
Positive: Hard-working, one-dimensional lead blocker who also excels on special teams. Blocks with a nasty attitude, works to finish assignments, and jolts defenders at the point of attack. Physical, squares into opponents and removes them from the action. Displays good blocking vision. Adequate short-yardage runner who keeps his feet moving on contact.
Negative: Slows into blocks, which adversely affects his ability to finish them. Really best on the inside and cannot get around tackle and create room for ball-carriers.
Analysis: Jackson is a throwback lead blocker effective in his role. He must improve the details of his game, yet he has every opportunity to make an NFL squad as a second fullback/special teams player.

Rashawn Jackson

School: Virginia
Position: FB
Bio: Former inside linebacker who's started the past three seasons when Virginia started the game with a lead blocker. Senior totals included a team leading 96/161/2 on the ground, with 25/222 as a pass catcher.
Positive: Big, strong lead blocker still learning the position. Intelligent, displays outstanding blocking vision as well is instincts carrying the ball. Powerful, productive as a short yardage runner, and displays the ability to pick up a lot up yardage off initial contact. Effective receiver out of the map backfield who nicely adjusts to the errant throw and extends his hands and looks the pass in. Punishing blocker who turns defensive lineman off the ball or takes linebackers from the action. Gets out to the second level, redirects to defenders, and finishes blocks.
Negative: Not overly nifty and struggles around tackle. Must learn to finish blocks.
Analysis: Since moving to the fullback position as a sophomore, Jackson has shown a lot of skill and improvement the past three seasons. He's a multidimensional player who clears the running lanes besides being productive carrying the ball as well as catching it out of the backfield. Really a solid prospect at the next level and a late round pick who can see significant action as a rookie in the league.

Negative: Marginally productive on the college level. Never truly established himself at one position.
Analysis: Johnson possesses outstanding size/speed numbers, yet he rarely saw time on the field at Miami. Looks as though he has the potential to be a multi-dimensional fullback at the next level for any team willing to develop his skills.

Analysis: Moline is a large backfield prospect best as a lead blocker. He will offer possibilities in a power running offense as a short-yardage runner/fullback.

Weight: 230
40: 4.72
Year: 5Sr

Marcus Sims

School: North Alabama
Position: FB
Bio: Former Florida State Seminole who's played with the first team since his junior season. Totals last year included 80/325/11 on the ground.
Positive: Physically talented lead blocker who flashed ability throughout his college career. Aggressive, always looking for someone to hit and stays with assignments. Shows good vision as a pass blocker, run blocker, or carrying the ball. Fluid moving about the field. Effectively adjusts to oncoming defenders and knocks them from their angle of attack.
Negative: Struggled with fumbles at Florida State. Not a big dominant lead blocker who finishes blocks.
Analysis: Sims is a prospect who showed ability throughout his college career yet never put together a complete game. He's a solid athlete who could make it as a number two fullback for a West Coast offense in part because of his ability to produce handling the ball.

Height: 5-11.5
Weight: 245
40: 4.84
Year: 5Sr

Manase Tonga

School: BYU
Position: FB
Bio: Part-time starter since his sophomore campaign when BYU began the game with a fullback. Senior totals included 40/148/4 on the ground with 30/271/4 as a pass catcher. Sat out the 2008 season due to academics.
Positive: One-dimensional lead of blocking fullback with an aggressive style. Plays with a nasty attitude, squares into defenders, and strong at the point of attack. Controls defenders once engaged in a block and works hard to whistle blows. Solid receiver out of the backfield extends his hands and plucks the ball from the air.
Negative: Not much of a receiving threat. Does not play with 40 time.
Analysis: Tonga is a lead blocker with marginal skills handling the ball. He would be a nice addition for a power running offense that does not require him to handle the ball much.

Negative: Marginal quickness and burst in his game. One-dimensional player who rarely handles the ball.
Analysis: Tronzo is a hard working fullback with solid size/speed numbers. Really was not a good fit in the Louisville offense yet offers upside and could make his way onto a practice squad the summer.
