Jamar Wall

School: Texas Tech
Position: CB
Bio: Three-year starter awarded All-Conference honors after his junior season. Senior totals included 58/2/15 after 60/2/10 the prior year.
Positive: Hard-working cornerback with nice size. Aggressive up the field, helps to defend running plays or screen passes. Displays a nice break to the ball, has a burst to the action and mixes it up throughout the play. Flashes the ability to stay with receivers out from their routes.
Negative: Marginal speed, gets beaten down the field and cannot recover. Does not always position himself correctly against opponents.
Analysis: Wall has the size to be a starting cornerback at the next level but lacks the pure speed to hold down the position. He was hampered throughout his senior season and the months leading up to the draft with a hamstring injury, and as a result will fall into later rounds. Offers possibilities as a press cornerback who should be able to hold down the nickel spot.
