Brian Jackson

School: Oklahoma
Position: CB
Bio: Two-year starter awarded All-Conference honors as a senior after totals of 47/4/8. Junior numbers included 72/2/10.
Positive: Athletic cornerback who plays an aggressive game. Strong, uses his size to box out opponents and an effective open field tackler. Gets vertical and contorts to defend the pass in midair, displaying good hands for the interception. Quick moving up the field to defend the run and forceful on the blitz. Stays with receivers across the middle and displays a solid break to the ball out of his plant.
Negative: Shows a lot of indecision in his game and struggles making plays with his back to the ball. Does a lot of face guarding and blows assignments on occasion.
Analysis: Jackson possesses the size/speed numbers to be a number one cornerback at the next level yet has limitations. He must play in a system that allows him to face the action but can be an effective nickel back at the next level.
