Matt Tennant

School: Boston College
Position: C
Bio: Three-year starter awarded All-Conference honors as a senior.
Positive: Strong, durable blocker with potential at several positions on the line. Plays with great awareness, keeps his head on a swivel and cognizant of what's happening around him. Works well with teammates and plays hard until the whistle blows. Moves well on his feet, quick out to the second level and effectively redirects or adjusts to linebackers. Seals defenders from the action with good body positioning and gets movement run blocking. Plays with a nasty attitude and always looking for someone to hit. Flashes power pushing defenders off the ball.
Negative: Lacks natural bulk and will struggle against large defensive tackles.
Analysis: Tennant has been a terrific center the past three seasons and also offers potential at guard. He will only get better as he physically matures and naturally adds bulk to his frame. He offers starting potential at the next level in a variety of schemes.
