Daverin Geralds

School: Mississippi
Position: C
Bio: Former defensive lineman who moved to center as a junior then started the following two seasons.
Positive: Underrated blocker with size limitations. Explosive at the point, quickly gets into blocks and effectively uses his hands to push opponents from their angle of attack. Blocks with good lean, stays square and seals defenders from the action. Effectively adjusts on the blitz, keeps his head on a swivel and does an outstanding job leading the offensive line.
Negative: Average footwork in space. Lacks height and may not be able to add a much bulk to his frame.
Analysis: Geralds is a tough, slug-it-out center in the middle of the line who gets the most from his ability. He plays with both quickness and intelligence, which could help him catch on as a backup at the next level.
