The first full day of practice is complete and there are plenty of NFL people and Senior Bowl players hanging around the hotel.  Here is the latest buzz swirling around.

– I’ve talked about the lack of arm strength from quarterback David Fales and how it will hold him back.  Yesterday I spoke with sources from the San Jose State program who told me they were forced to take plays out of the Spartan playbook as Fales was unable to make the necessary throws.

–  The consensus to those I’ve spoken with here believe the there’s no validity to the reports that AJ McCarron did not play in the Senior Bowl due to the belief he’s going to be a top 20 choice.  It must be noted, none of this information came from anyone associated with McCarron

–  We spoke at length on the successful practice of Joel Bitonio.  We hear several teams presently rank Bitonio fourth on their guard board.

–  Finally, a number of quarterback coaches on hand who are employed by teams that do not need a signal caller say they have Blake Bortles of Central Florida rated as their top quarterback.
