As has been the case for almost a decade the receiver position will be driven by underclassmen as juniors and red-shirt sophomores fill the top five slots on our board. There’s something for everyone as the class offers big bodied pass catchers, polished underneath receivers as well as a few field stretchers.

#NameSchoolYearRound
1Mike Evans
Texas A&M
3So1st
Large, game impacting receiver that physically beats defenders in the middle of the field or outraces opponents down the flanks.  Has all the necessary talents to be a big time number one wide out in the NFL.
2
Sammy WatkinsClemson3Jr
1st
Polished pass catcher with dependable hands.  Runs solid routes, gets separation and consistently comes away with the reception.  Not a true field stretcher and yet to match the production from a great freshman season but a legitimate starting receiver in the NFL.
3
Marqise Lee
USC3Jr1st
Game breaking/game controlling receiver with big time talent.  Quick, reliable and has a burst.  Separates from opponents and effective running after the catch.  Struggling with a knee injury and watching his stock slide due to the play of others at his position.
4
Allen Robinson
Penn State
3Jr1-2
Reliable pass catcher who’s taken his game to another level this season.  Consistently finds a way to separate from defenders and make himself an available target.  Sized well and plays strong.  Not a field stretcher and more of a possession receiver.
5
Brandin Cooks
Oregon State
3Jr1-2
Incredibly productive wide out rising up draft boards.  Quick, has a burst and deceptively fast.  Plays with great balance and body control.  Catches everything in site.  Can line up in the slot or on the flanks.
6
Jordan Matthews
Vanderbilt4Sr
2nd
Reliable possession receiver with terrific size.  Strong, competes to make the reception and the “go-to” guy opponents cannot stop.  Deceptively fast and shows a burst.  Potential number two wide out in the NFL.
7
Paul Richardson
Colorado4Jr2nd
Natural pass catcher with terrific receiver skills. Possesses soft hands and consistently comes away with the reception. Effective running after the catch and shows a burst. Will be under-drafted and has the potential to be a terrific pro.
8
Odell Beckham Jr
LSU3Jr2nd

Solid receiver prospect that’s show consistent progress in his game. Quick to top speed, has a burst and for the most part comes away with the catch. Effective downfield blocker and also productive returning punts.
9
Jarvis Landry
LSU3Jr2nd

Consistent pass catcher with average size/speed numbers. Quick into breaks, separates from defenders and makes the reception away from his frame. Shows some run after the catch ability. Number three receiver at the next level.
10Donte Moncrief
Mississippi3Jr2-3
Well sized pass catcher in the midst of a breakout season. Consistent, wins out in battles and deceptively fast. Could potentially move higher on draft boards and develop into a number two receiver at the next level.
11Jared Abbrederis
Wisconsin5Sr3rd
Consistent receiver that shows a dependable game. Focused, reliable in all areas and makes all the catches in underneath coverage or down the field. Runs good routes and has a deceptive burst. Average size/speed numbers will suppress his draft stock but a legitimate number three at the next level.
12Robert Herron
Wyoming4Sr3rd
Underrated receiver with a complete game. Fast, stretches the field but also tough and competes to come away with the ball in battles. Does the little things well; runs good routes, comes back to the ball and blocks when necessary. Small but plays big. Lacks of size is a limiting factor and as a result could leave Herron under-drafted.
